How can we help?

Using the Waterfall Display

The waterfall shows a live spectrum trace above a scrolling history below it, with your tuned frequency marked. Controls beneath it:

  • Noise floor — raise it to blank out background noise from the display.
  • Contrast — how sharply weak-to-strong signals are stretched across the colour range.
  • Smooth — time-averages the spectrum trace (not the waterfall history) for a steadier view.
  • Fill — shades the area under the spectrum trace.
  • Names — shows known station tick marks with hover names.
  • Peak — adds a slow-decay peak-hold trace to the spectrum (a separate peak-hold from the signal meter’s).
  • Colour — pick a colour scheme: Heat, Aqua, Grey, or Fire.

Tuning From the Waterfall

Click anywhere on either the spectrum trace or the waterfall history to tune straight to that frequency (snapped to your step grid). Hover anywhere to see the nearest known station name, or a general band-plan label if nothing specific is known there.

One thing worth knowing if you’re used to other SDR software: scrolling the mouse wheel over the waterfall steps the VFO one step at a time — it does not zoom. Use the Span control to zoom in or out instead.
