AR-DV3 Memory Scan, Pass & Scan Groups

Summary: Scanning memory banks on the AR-DV3.

Scanning

Press [SCAN] and choose scan (each press cycles VFO, MEM, SCN). Close the squelch and the scan starts. It scans the registered channels of a bank; a signal stops it and audio plays, and it resumes when the signal ends.

While scanning:

  • Change bank: [F] then [UP]/[DOWN] (then [F] again), or type two digits.
  • Direction: turn the dial (clockwise ascending).
  • [ENT] (when stopped) copies to VFO-Z; [PASS] (when stopped) marks a pass.

Memory Channel Pass

In MEM or while scanning is stopped, press [PASS] to skip a channel. In MEM mode passed channels are still shown; in SCN mode they aren’t. To remove a pass, recall the channel in MEM and press [PASS] again (“PAS” disappears). It’s per channel: you can’t clear it by bank.

Scan Groups

[F] then [SCAN]: 10 groups (0-9), group 0 initially.

  • BANK LINK: turn the dial and press [PASS] on each bank to link (for example banks 3 and 5).
  • DELAY: OFF, 0.1-9.9 s or HOLD (default 2.0 s).
  • FREE: resume even if the signal is still present: OFF or 1-60 s (default OFF).

Select the group number before starting the scan.
