Setting Up Custom Alert Zones

Summary: How to draw a custom area on the map and get notified when aircraft enter it.

Alert Zones let you define your own areas of interest and get notified the moment an aircraft enters them.

To create a zone:

  1. Open the Alert Zones tool in the Live Flights panel.
  2. Choose a shape:
    • Circle — drop a pin, then drag to set a radius from 1 to 50 miles.
    • Polygon — draw a free-form area by clicking points on the map.
  3. Name your zone.
  4. Choose whether it should alert for all aircraft or military only.
  5. Save.

The map automatically zooms in when an aircraft enters an active zone. Zones are saved to your account (or the current profile — see Using Two Tracker Profiles) and can be renamed, temporarily switched off, or deleted at any time from the Alert Zones list.

Push notifications (the ones you get with the map closed) only cover the UK area. A zone drawn over near Europe still alerts on the open map, but only while the map is showing that part of Europe.
