How can we help?

Filling Systems & Groups – Quick Fill, the Data Dropdown & Add To

Summary: Using Quick Fill for an automatic set of local Systems and Groups, or the Data dropdown with New System and Add To for more control.

Quick Fill

Enter a Postcode (or use your saved location) and tick Marine if you want Marine VHF included, then click Quick Fill. This clears whatever Systems you already have and rebuilds a full set automatically – Airports/Airbases/Airfields/Heliports, Civil and Military ATC, Air Common/Air Defence/Squadrons, Marine (if selected or your postcode is coastal), Ham (2m/70cm/ISS) and Ham Repeaters, PMR, Baofeng/FRS/GMRS, Fireground/Polycon/Mountain Rescue, CB, Outside Broadcast, LPD433, and WTR Business – each becomes its own System, grouped sensibly underneath it.

Quick Fill needs the Programmer window already open to work – if you see a message saying the programmer window wasn’t found, make sure you’ve opened Editor for your profile first.

The Data Dropdown – New System & Add To

For more control than Quick Fill, use the Data dropdown to pick a category from Squawker’s own frequency data (or Currently Selected, which uses whatever’s ticked or selected on the main window):

  • New System creates a brand-new System from that data, automatically grouped by its “User” values.
  • Add To opens a dialog where you pick an existing System, then choose how to organise the new data into Groups – use an existing Group, auto-create new Groups split by User values, or create a single new named Group.

Clear All

Clear All removes every System, Group and Channel after asking you to confirm – a clean slate before rebuilding.
