How can we help?

Your Personal Updates Page

Summary: The Updates page at ukafg.co.uk/updates – what changed in each dataset since you last looked, filtered to your area, plus your own Aviation Watch List, with the date of every change and CSV/Excel export.

The Updates page shows what has been added, changed or removed in UKAFG’s datasets, personalised to you. You must be logged in, and which panels you see depends on your subscription.

Which Panels You See

Each dataset has its own collapsible panel with a count of changes in its header. Whether a panel is open or closed is remembered for next time.

  • Aviation Frequencies – tabs for New, Updated, Readded and Removed. Squawker Online and Squawker PC subscribers see the full history. A current UKAFG guide gives access from the guide’s own start date onwards.
  • Mil Callsigns – New, Updated and Removed. Available with Squawker, Active Mil, or a current guide.
  • Common Frequencies – New, Updated and Removed. Squawker or a current guide.
  • Amateur Repeaters – Squawker subscribers only.
  • WTR Licences – Squawker or a WTRBrowser subscription.

If you hold none of these, the page tells you an active Squawker, Active Mil, WTR Browser or UKAFG guide membership is needed.

Choosing How Far Back to Look

One row of buttons above the panels controls every panel at once: Since last visit, 7 days, 4 weeks, 3 months, 6 months, 12 months and (guide holders only) All. Since last visit only appears once you have visited before, and is then the default. Otherwise the page starts on 4 weeks.

To start from an exact day instead, use the or from calendar at the end of the row. Pick a date and every panel shows changes from that day to today; the quick-pick buttons go quiet while a date is set, and clearing the date takes you back to 4 weeks. The calendar reaches back 12 months at most (a guide’s own start date if that is later), and a date outside that is moved to the nearest allowed one.

Reading the Tables

Every table starts with a Date column: for a new frequency the date it was added, for an updated or readded one the date of that change, for a removed one the date it was removed. Aviation rows then show Airport, Service, Name, Frequency and Channel (Removed entries omit the name); the other datasets show a single Details column. In a local view a Distance column is added.

Showing Only Your Area

Type a postcode or town into Your location, choose a radius of 10, 25, 50 or 100 miles, and click Save. Once saved you can flip between Local and All UK at any time – your choice is remembered. If a place name matches more than one town, the page asks which you meant.

Location only applies to Aviation Frequencies, Amateur Repeaters and WTR Licences. Mil Callsigns and Common Frequencies are always shown UK-wide.

Your Aviation Watch List

If you have the aviation panel, Your Aviation Watch List lets you follow just the places and categories you care about, using the same date range as the rest of the page.

  • Click Add to watch list, then either start typing an airbase or airport (two or more characters gives suggestions), or pick a category such as JTAC/FAC or Refuelling.
  • Each item you watch gets its own small table with New, Updated, Readded and Removed tabs, and a x button to remove it.
  • The watch list ignores your Local/All UK setting – it always follows exactly what you pinned.

Removed frequencies can only be matched by airport, so a watched category will not list removals.

Copying and Exporting

Right-click and select-and-copy are switched off on the tables, so use the controls provided instead:

  • Copy – the button at the end of each row copies that row, tab-separated, ready to paste into a spreadsheet or a note. It flashes “Copied” when done.
  • Export CSV / Excel – above every table (watch-list tables included). Each downloads exactly the rows that table is showing – the current tab, date range and Local/All UK choice – as ukafg-updates-<dataset>-<tab>.csv or .xlsx. The Excel file is written by the page itself, so there is nothing to install.

The data remains for your personal reference on ukafg.co.uk and is not for redistribution.

The “New on UKAFG” Banner

Elsewhere on the site, logged-in members see a small “New on UKAFG” banner with counts of recent changes. It folds away after a few seconds, can be dismissed, and stays hidden until the counts change. To be alerted without visiting the site at all, see the article on update notifications.
