IC-R30 SET Menu Reference

Summary: Every menu setting on the IC-R30 with its options and defaults, in the order of the MENU screen.

Any setting can be restored with [QUICK], Default. Defaults and items may differ by version. Settings marked “A/B” can be set separately for the A and B bands.

Scan

Pause Timer (10 s), Resume Timer (2 s), Temporary Skip Timer (5 min), Program Skip (ON), Group Link (all), P-Scan Edge (50 ranges), Program Link, Auto MW SCAN Memory Clear (Display Dialog), DUP Check During MR Scan (OFF). See IC-R30 Scanning: VFO, Memory, Tone & Near Station Scans.

Function

• Auto Power OFF (OFF): 30/60/90/120 min or No Signal (3 minutes); warns 5 seconds before.
• Power Save (Auto (Short)): OFF, Auto (Short), Auto (Middle), Auto (Long); disabled on external power and in LSB, USB, CW and CW-R.
• Monitor (Push), Dial Speed-UP (ON), Key Lock (Normal), Active Band (All).
• Bar Antenna (Use), Earphone Antenna (to 1.3 G) (Not Used).
• CI-V (Address 9C, Baud Rate Auto, Transceive OFF, USB/Bluetooth->REMOTE Transceive Address 00), USB Connect (Serialport), USB Serialport Function (CI-V (Echo Back OFF)). See IC-R30 USB, CI-V & Cloning.

Display

• Backlight (Auto (DC IN: ON)): OFF, ON, Auto, or Auto (DC IN: ON) (also selected automatically while the GPS logger is used or external DC is connected). Backlight Timer (5 s): 5 or 10. LCD Dimmer (Bright): Bright or Dark. LCD Contrast (5): 1-10.
• RX Popup (Normal), P25 RX ID Display (Dec), RX Backlight (Digital Mode): OFF, Digital Mode or ALL (needs Backlight on Auto).
• Scroll Speed (Fast), Opening Message (ON), Battery Level (Power ON) (ON), Single Band Display (Date or GPS Information).
• Display Unit: Latitude/Longitude (dddmm.mm’ or dddmm’ss”), Altitude/Distance (ft/ml or metric), Speed (mph; km/h or knots), Temperature (F or C), Barometric (inHg; hPa, mb or mmHg), Rainfall (inch or mm), Wind Speed (mph; m/s, km or knots). Set the metric options for UK use.
• Display Language / System Language (English). If you switch to Japanese and can’t read the menus, do a Partial Reset (it restores English without clearing memory).

Sounds

Earphone Mode, Beep Level (8; 0-15), Beep/Vol Level Link (OFF), A/B Vol Link (A/B Link), Key-Touch Beep (ON), Home CH Beep (ON), Scan Stop Beep (OFF), D-STAR Standby Beep (ON), Sub Band Mute (Main RX) (OFF), Scope AF Output (ON). Earphone Mode lowers the volume to a comfortable level when the optional earphone is fitted; don’t turn it off with the earphone on.

Time Set

Date/Time (manual), GPS Time Correct (Auto), UTC Offset (+/-0:00, -14:00 to +14:00 in 5-minute steps).
