How can we help?

Managing Device Profiles

Each profile in Fast Scanner represents one physical (or virtual) SDR device, running independently in its own tab.

Adding a Profile

Click ➕ Add profile (only available in Scanner mode) — a new profile is created immediately with no prompts, named “Device N” by default, and starts connecting right away so its Radio list populates. There’s no limit on how many profiles you can add, though each one needs its own physical device to actually scan with.

Renaming a Profile

Type a new name into the Profile name box in the tab’s content area (not the tab header itself, which just displays the name). This box is only visible while the profile is in Scanner mode — switch to Scanner mode first if you want to rename a profile that’s currently in Radio mode.

Removing a Profile

Click the ✕ on a device tab to remove it.

Choosing Which Profile You Hear

Only one profile’s audio plays at a time, controlled by the 🔊 Listen button on each tab. Every profile keeps scanning, detecting, and logging regardless of which one is set to Listen — muting only affects whether you actually hear it. Clicking Listen on a different profile swaps audio instantly; there’s no need to stop or restart anything.
