How can we help?

Event Push Alerts

Summary: Getting notified automatically when a new air display, flypast or royal flight is published near you.

Rather than checking the Aviation Events list yourself, you can set the map to notify you automatically.

To set up event alerts:

  1. Open the Event Alerts settings at the bottom of the Events section.
  2. Click Set Location, then click the map where you want the alerts centred.
  3. Choose a radius: 10, 25, 50 or 100 miles.
  4. Switch Active on.

You’ll then receive a push notification whenever a new event is published within your chosen radius that starts within the next 48 hours. Alerts are for events proper, meaning air displays, flypasts and royal or VIP flights. Routine military activity, such as exercises, fast-jet training and refuelling, is shown on the map but does not raise an alert. This uses the same browser push notifications as the Flight Tracker alerts; see the Alerts & Notifications category for how to enable push on your device if you haven’t already.
