Getting Started – Using the Squawker Online Aviation Search

The Squawker search lets you search the UK aviation frequency database — airports, airbases, airfields, heliports, ATC units, and UK-wide national channels — directly from [Squawker Online Searchh/]. No account or login is required; the search is open to everyone.

Search Type Tabs

Across the top of the tool are tabs for the different ways you can search: General, By Location, Airports, Airbases, Airfields, Heliports, ATC Units, and National. Each tab swaps in the relevant input fields — see the Search Modes articles for how each one works.

Help When You Need It

An info button opens a reference popup explaining what each search tab and search option does, so you can check what a tab or filter means without leaving the page. Note: this database is intended for personal use.

Starting Over

A Reset/Clear button reverts the form, any selections, filters, and results back to a blank search — useful when you want to start a completely new search rather than adjusting the current one.

Once you’ve run a search, see Reading the Results Table for how to work with what comes back, and the Exporting Your Data category for getting results into your radio or scanner software.
