How can we help?

Playing Back, Finding & Deleting Recordings

Summary: Playing a logged transmission’s recording back, finding it on disk, and what happens to recording files when you clear or delete log entries.

Playing a Recording

Any log entry with a saved recording shows a Play button in the Play column – click it to play the clip, and it switches to Stop while playing. If a transmission ran long enough to be split into more than one file, Play plays them back in order, one after another. The button doesn’t appear at all for entries with no recording, or while a clip is still being written.

Right-Click Options

Right-click any log entry for:

  • Play recording / Stop playback
  • Show recording in folder – opens the file’s location directly.
  • Delete recording… – removes just the audio file, leaving the log entry itself in place.

Clearing or Deleting Log Entries with Recordings

When you Clear Log or Delete Selected and any of the entries being removed have a recording attached, you’re asked separately whether to also delete those recording files:

  • Yes – deletes the recording files as well as the log entries.
  • No – keeps the recording files in the recordings folder; only the log entries are removed.
  • Cancel – backs out of the whole operation; nothing is removed.
