AR-DV10 Tuning Step & Step Adjust

Summary: Setting the AR-DV10’s tuning step and step adjust.

Tuning Step

The step is how far the frequency moves per dial click. [MENU], [ENT], choose STEP, [ENT]. There are 3 pages of values from 10 Hz up to 500 kHz; pick one with the arrows and press [ENT]. Choose a step that matches the band plan or channels will be missed.

Step Adjust

Use it when the channels you want don’t line up with the step. The manual’s example: 20 kHz step channels at 439.00, 439.02, 439.04 and so on, but you want 439.01, 439.03 and so on, so you apply a 10 kHz adjustment.

[MENU], [ENT], choose STEP ADJ, [ENT]. There are 3 pages of values from 0.05 kHz to 250 kHz; choose 0 Hz to switch it off. The maximum is half the tuning step. The display shows “Adj:” and the value.

Fast Tuning

The up/down keys move ten times the step; the dial moves one step per click.

Restricted Bands

The FM broadcast (64-108 MHz) and AM broadcast (520-1710 kHz) bands use a dedicated radio circuit.
