Radio Controls – Uniden Models Only

On-screen radio controls (buttons that remotely press your scanner’s own buttons over the connection) are only available for Uniden models — Whistler, ICOM CI-V, Proscan, and SDR-based profiles (com0com, SDRuno/SDR# plugin, Fast Scanner) get no control panel at all; you can watch and log what they receive, but not operate the radio remotely from Squawker Connect.

Within Uniden, exactly which buttons you get depends on your specific model:

  • BCD436HP/BCD536HP/UBCD3600XLT/SDS100/SDS200 models — the fullest set: MENU, SYSTEM, DEPT, CHANNEL, AVOID, up/down, ./NO, E/YES, plus a number pad. These models also get a Skip Idle option, which suppresses idle digital frames so the log isn’t cluttered with non-voice transmissions.
  • BCT15X — MENU, SCAN, HOLD, LOCKOUT, up/down, a Quick Key entry box (send a specific channel number directly), ./NO, E/YES, plus a number pad.
  • UBC3500XLT — MENU, F, SCAN, HOLD, LOCKOUT, left/right (this model uses horizontal navigation rather than up/down), ./NO, E/YES, plus a number pad.
  • BCD160DN / BCD260DN — MENU, SCAN, HOLD, L/O, up/down, plus a number pad. These two models don’t support the Skip Idle auto-resume feature.
  • UBC125XLT/C — just the number pad; no MENU/SCAN/HOLD/LOCKOUT buttons for this model.
  • Any other/unspecified Uniden model — no controls at all, unless Squawker Connect auto-detects it as an SDS100/SDS200/UBCD3600XLT-family radio on connect, in which case you’ll get that family’s full control set.

If you don’t see the controls you expect, double-check the specific model selected in your Connect Settings profile — it drives which button set (if any) appears.
