Getting Started – Searching for Repeaters

Repeater Search lets you search UK amateur radio repeaters directly from [Amateur Repeaters] — by location, or browse the full list — with detailed technical data and export options. No account or login is required.

Two Ways to Start

  • By Location — search for repeaters within a radius of a point you choose (see Search by Location).
  • All Repeaters — browse every active repeater at once, sorted alphabetically, with band and mode filters still available.

How This Differs From the Map’s Repeaters Layer

If you’ve used the Amateur Repeater Overlay on the interactive map, this tool goes further: it adds a true radius search (your location, postcode, or place name), combinable band and mode filters, a sortable results table, and export to CSV/Excel/CHIRP. The map layer, by contrast, is better for browsing repeaters visually alongside other map layers, with a name search and a click-for-details popup, but has no radius search or export. Use whichever suits what you’re doing — they show the same underlying data.
