WTR Search lets you search Ofcom’s Wireless Telegraphy Register — the official record of licensed radio transmitter sites in the UK — directly from [Wtrbrowser Database]. No account or login is required; the tool is open to everyone.

Search Tabs

Across the top of the tool are tabs for different ways to search: By Location, Frequency, Company, Licence Number, and National. See the individual Search Modes articles for how each one works.

How This Differs From the Map’s WTR Layer

If you’ve used the WTR layer on the interactive map, this tool goes considerably further: it adds a true radius/distance search (your location, postcode, or place name), a dedicated frequency search, date filtering, a colour-coded results map, and full export to CSV/Excel/SDR/scanner formats — none of which the map’s WTR layer offers. Use this tool when you want to search or export WTR data properly; use the map’s WTR layer when you just want to browse sites while looking at other map layers at the same time.
