Military Callsigns

The Military Callsigns page is a searchable directory (currently 800+ entries) of military radio callsigns used by RAF, Royal Navy, Army Air Corps, USAF, and allied forces operating from or through the UK.

Columns

  • Callsign — the spoken radio callsign (e.g. “Aces”).
  • Aircraft — the aircraft type flying under that callsign, with its type code (e.g. “F-15E Eagle (F15)”).
  • Airbase — the home airbase, where known.
  • Service — the operating service (RAF, USAF, RN, AAC, RNAF, etc.).
  • Description — the squadron or unit (e.g. “48th FW, 494th FS”).
  • ADS-B — known ADS-B ident variants associated with that callsign, used to match live flight-tracking data (see Reading the Aircraft Info Panel in the Live Traffic category) back to a known unit — a single callsign can have more than one listed.
