AR-DV10 Memory Scan, Pass & Scan Groups

Summary: Scanning memory banks on the AR-DV10.

Before You Scan

Set the squelch correctly: tune to an inactive frequency and raise the squelch until the noise just stops. It must open only for real signals.

Scanning a Bank

[MENU] > SCAN > [ENT] > BANK > [ENT], then type the bank number; the scan starts at once. “SCN” shows the bank, channel and titles.

  • If it stops on a quiet frequency, raise the squelch (SQL/MONI and dial, then SQL/MONI to save).
  • Change direction with the up/down keys. Force it to resume by turning the dial one click.
  • If you change the mode while stopped on an active channel, the new mode is saved into that channel.
  • [ENT] (when stopped) copies the channel and its settings to VFO-Z; [ENT] again returns to scanning.
  • To browse instead: [MENU] > MEM > [ENT], then [MENU] > SCAN to go back.

Scan Pass

While stopped, press [MENU] then [ENT], choose PASS ON and [ENT]. That channel is ignored in future scans without being erased. To include it again, edit the channel’s PASS to OFF (see AR-DV10 Memory Channels & Banks).

Scan Groups (Linked Banks)

10 groups (0-9). [MENU] > SCAN > GRP EDIT > [ENT] twice, type the group number. Press the down key and [ENT] to select bank 00, then press [.] to link each bank (use the arrows or dial to move; [.] again unlinks). Press [9] to save the links, then set:

  • DELAY TIME: 0.1-10 s or OFF (default 2 s): the pause after the signal drops before the scan resumes.
  • FREE TIME: 1-60 s or OFF (default OFF): resume after this long even if the signal continues.

Confirm with [ENT]. To scan a group: [MENU] > SCAN > GRP, enter the number, [ENT]; then [MENU] > SCAN > [ENT] to start.
