AR-DV1 Priority, Offset & Last Channel Memory

Summary: The AR-DV1’s priority channel, frequency offset and the settings it remembers at power-off.

Priority

While you scan, search or monitor, the receiver briefly checks one memory channel and stays on it if there’s activity, returning afterwards. It’s ideal for watching a distress or control frequency. A click may be heard as it switches.

  • Set: press [F] then hold [4]; choose the bank and channel (keypad or dial), move down to INTERVAL and choose 1-99 seconds, then [ENT].
  • Turn on/off: [F] then [4]; “PRI” shows.

Frequency Offset

Shifts the receive frequency by a stored value, to check the other side of a duplex or repeater pair. Press [F] then [.], choose the offset number and, for user channels, type the offset and use [PASS] to switch +/-. Then hold [MONI] to hear the offset frequency. Offset 00 is fixed; 01-19 are user programmable; 20-39 are preprogrammed by the factory and can’t be changed.

Last Channel Memory

At switch-off the receiver automatically saves its state and restores it next time: the VFO/search/memory position, step and step adjust, mode, squelch type and levels, AGC, options such as NR and notch, IF bandwidth, alarm/timer and priority settings. Save it manually with [F] then push the volume knob. If the last-channel PROTECT configuration item is ON, it isn’t saved (default OFF).
