IC-R15 SET Mode Reference

Summary: Every SET mode setting on the IC-R15 with its options and defaults: Scan, Function, Display, Sounds, Time Set, SD Card, Bluetooth Set and Others.

Open with MENU, SET. Any setting can be reset with [QUICK], Default. Defaults can differ between receiver versions.

Scan

• Pause Timer (10 s): 2-20 s in 2 s steps, or HOLD. Separate for A and B.
• Resume Timer (2 s): 0-5 s or HOLD.
• Temporary Skip Timer (5 min): 5/10/15 min, While Scanning, While Powered ON.
• Program Skip (ON).
• Program Scan Edge – up to 25 ranges (name, step, mode).
• Program Link – links program ranges (0-9).
• Auto MW SCAN Memory Clear (Display Dialog): OFF, Display Dialog, ON.
• Group Link (all groups ticked).
• DUP Check During MR Scan (OFF).

Function

• Auto Power OFF (OFF): 30/60/90/120 min or No Signal (off after 3 minutes with no signal). A warning beeps 5 seconds before.
• Power Save (Auto (Short)): OFF, Auto (Short), Auto (Middle), Auto (Long). It may miss the start of a signal, and is disabled on external power and while scanning.
• Monitor (Push): Push or Hold.
• Dial Speed-UP (ON).
• Key Lock (Normal): Normal, No SQL, No VOL, ALL.
• Frequency Selection Range (All bands): In-band or All bands.
• Memory Selection Range (All Groups): Current Group, Current Category or All Groups.
• CI-V: CI-V Address (B0; set a different address from 02 to DF for each IC-R15 on one PC), CI-V Baud Rate (SP Jack) (Auto; 4800, 9600 or 19200), CI-V Transceive (OFF), CI-V Echo Back (USB Jack) (OFF), CI-V USB->REMOTE Transceive Address (00; set to something other than 00 to stop external control of another Icom).
• USB Connect (Serialport): Charge Only, Serialport, SD Card Mode.
• Heterodyne (Normal): moves the first local oscillator to the other side of the signal to avoid spurious signals in Dualwatch.
• Screen Capture [PWR] Key (OFF) and Screen Capture File Type (BMP; or PNG).

Display

• Backlight (Auto (DC IN: ON)): OFF, ON, Auto, or Auto (DC IN: ON) which stays lit on external power.
• Backlight Timer (10 s): 5, 10 or 30 s. Brightness (8): 1-8. Dim Screen (ON), Dim Timer (1 min: 1, 2, 5, 10 min or Hold) and Brightness (Dim) (1; must be lower than Brightness).
• RX Backlight (Except Radio) (OFF). Scroll Speed (Fast). Opening Message (ON). Battery Level (Power ON) (ON).
• Display Type (Name): Freq or Name.
• Display Language / System Language (English): Japanese is available. If you switch to Japanese and can’t read it, a Partial Reset restores English without clearing memory channels (the “etc” icon, then the bottom item, then the upper option; don’t choose the lower All Reset).

Sounds

• Volume Select (All): All, FM Radio Separate, Separate.
• Earphone Mode (OFF): sets a comfortable level when an earphone is connected.
• Beep Level (8): 0-15. Beep/Vol Level Link (OFF). Key-Touch Beep (ON). Scan Stop Beep (OFF).
• Sub Band Mute (OFF): Mute, Beep or Mute & Beep.

Time Set

Date/Time – manual (the CS-R15 software can set it automatically).

SD Card

Firmware Update, Format, Unmount, Load Setting, Save Setting, Import/Export (Import, Export and CSV Format with Separator/Decimal), Opening Picture, SD Card Info, Screen Capture View. See IC-R15 microSD Card: Backup, CSV Import/Export & SD Card Mode.

Bluetooth Set
