SDS100E Searching: Quick Search, Custom Search & Search Keys

Summary: How to search with the SDS100E: Quick Search, ten Custom Searches and three Search Keys, plus the search and Close Call options.

Search/Close Call Options

Menu, Srch/CloCall Opt:

  • Freq Avoids – Stop All Avoiding removes avoids from all frequencies; Rvw Search Avoids lets you scroll avoided frequencies and press E to unavoid one.
  • Broadcast Screen – Set All Band On/Off, Set Each Band (a screen that’s on makes the scanner ignore traffic on matching frequencies during search or Close Call) and Program Band (define custom screens with lower and upper limits).
  • Repeater Find – On automatically switches to the repeater output when the input is detected.
  • Set Delay Time – -10, -5, 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and so on seconds; a negative value forces a resume after that time even if the transmission continues.
  • Set Attenuator – 20 dB on or off for these searches.

Quick Search

Number keys toggle custom search bands on and off during a search.

Search Keys
