Programmer Screen at a Glance

Before You See This Screen

This window only opens for a profile that already exists and has Enable Programming ticked. If you haven’t set one up yet:

1. Open Connect Settings.
2. Create (or select) a profile with Scanner Type set to UBC125XLT/C, and choose the correct COM port.
3. Tick Enable Programming for that profile.
4. Open Programmer, select that profile from the list, and click Open Editor — this brings you to the screen described below.

Without a profile set up this way, the UBC125XLT/C won’t appear as an option in the Programmer at all — see UBC125XLT/C Programmer — Overview & Getting Connected for the full connection walkthrough.

The Screen Itself

When you open the editor for a UBC125XLT/C profile, the window is laid out in a few clear sections:

• Bank tabs (across the top) — ten tabs, one per bank (Bank 1 through 9, then Bank 0), each holding up to 50 channels. Click a tab to switch which bank you’re viewing and editing.
• Channel grid (the main area) — the 50-row editable table for whichever bank tab is selected: CH, Freq, Name, Mode, Tone, Delay, and L/O. This is where you view and directly edit individual channels.
• Scanner Actions — Read from Scanner and Send to Scanner, the two actions that actually talk to your connected radio: pulling its current programming in, or writing your edited banks out to it. See Reading, Backing Up & Restoring and Writing to Your Scanner.
• Bank Actions — the Data source dropdown and Program Bank button (fills the current bank from a chosen source), Clear Bank, and the Quick Fill row (postcode + Marine checkbox) with its own Clear All Banks button alongside it. • Backup and Restore — create a backup on demand, restore a previous one, delete old backups, or open the backup folder directly. See Reading, Backing Up & Restoring.
