Navigation Aids – Waypoints, DME, NDB & VOR-DME

Summary: Viewing aeronautical navigation aids on the map and searching for a specific waypoint or beacon.

Switch on the Navigation Aids layer to see standard aeronautical navigation points plotted on the map:

• Waypoints and Oceanic Waypoints — named reporting points used for route navigation.
• DME (Distance Measuring Equipment)
• NDB (Non-Directional Beacon)
• VOR-DME (VHF Omnidirectional Range combined with DME)

Each type has its own map symbol so you can tell them apart at a glance. Use the search box to jump to a specific named waypoint or beacon, and click any symbol for its identifying information.
