Watching Specific Airfields

Summary: How to set up richer arrival and departure notifications for airfields you care about.

Watch Airfields gives you more detailed traffic notifications than a plain alert zone — built specifically around arrivals and departures.

To set one up:

1. Open Watch Airfields in the Live Flights panel.
2. Choose any airfield, airbase, or heliport from the map’s location database.
3. Adjust the detection ring size to suit how early you want to be notified.
4. Optionally restrict alerts to military traffic only.
5. Save.

You’ll get notifications in plain-language form, for example: “RRR2351 (A400) inbound EGVN — 1,500 ft, descending” — telling you not just that something’s happening, but what, and what it’s doing.
